Our work
An independent, not-for-profit peak body for freight decarbonisation in Australia and New Zealand, built for operators already investing in it.
The Council is mode, fuel and technology agnostic. It covers road, rail, maritime and air, and every pathway from efficiency to electrification to low-carbon fuel.
Why we exist
The Council was formed to do three things the sector cannot do company by company.
Equipping operators with the method, standards and knowledge to measure, reduce and account for their emissions.
Building the commercial frameworks that make decarbonisation viable at scale and at lower cost.
Using collective expertise and sector representation to engage government and regulators as the independent voice on freight decarbonisation.
How we deliver
Each pillar is a programme of work with its own members, outputs and timetable. Together they carry the three purposes above.
Training and plain-English guidance, so operators can measure and cut emissions without an in-house specialist.
